(Patria) - Traffic on the roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina is proceeding without extraordinary restrictions, with moderate vehicle traffic. Heavier traffic is expected during the day, so we ask drivers to drive carefully and maintain a safe distance between vehicles. We also appeal to other road users to respect traffic regulations.
On the main roads: Dobro Polje-Miljevina, Tuzla-Bijeljina and Jablanica-Blidinje, traffic is allowed for vehicles up to 3.5 tons, while traffic for vehicles over 3.5 tons is still suspended.
Due to road repair works, the A-1 Kakanj-Lašva highway section (3 km long) is closed, and vehicles are being directed to use the opposite side of the highway in both directions.
On the A-1 highway sections Sarajevo sjever-Podlugovi, Sarajevo zapad-Lepenica and Bijača-Počitelj (Hercegovina bridge), traffic is redirected to the overtaking lane due to ongoing works.
On the M-5 main road, Izačić-Bihać border crossing, bridge reconstruction works over the Mrižnica stream are being carried out. Vehicles are being redirected to a temporary bypass near the works, with alternating traffic flow.
Repair works are underway on the Srbac-Derventa main road, due to which traffic is planned to be suspended until the end of June. During the suspension, vehicles are redirected to the alternative route Srbac-Prnjavor-Derventa.
Due to sports events, the Srbljani-Bosanska Krupa main road will be closed to traffic today from 8 AM to 6 PM, and the Banja Luka-Jajce main road (Karanovac-Krupa na Vrbasu section) from 2 PM to midnight.
At the border crossings: Izačić, Velika Kladuša and Gradina, there is increased passenger vehicle traffic at the exit from Bosnia and Herzegovina. At other border crossings, passenger vehicle waiting times are currently short.
Due to passenger registration under the new EU Entry/Exit System (EES), longer waiting times at border crossings are possible.
Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons. From December 2, 2025, Karakaj border crossing will be open for all vehicle categories. At Šepak border crossing, traffic is prohibited for all trucks.
