Upon the request of several media outlets for the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina to comment on the placement of a cross on Zlatište above Sarajevo, from where the population of Sarajevo was terrorized for almost four years, and a large number of its citizens were killed and wounded, the Cabinet of the Reisu-l-ulema Husein ef. Kavazović issued a press release stating: the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina does not consider the cross above Sarajevo, placed during the previous night, to be a religious symbol or emblem.
