This is what our Government gave us: Wholesale price of gas in FBiH is 4.59 percent more expensive

(Patria) - The FBiH Government, at today's telephone session, upon the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Trade, adopted the Decision on approving the wholesale price of natural gas for distribution economic entities in the FBiH, starting from April 1, 2026, which amounts to KM 865.40/1,000 Sm³, or KM 0.86540/Sm³, lower heating value of natural gas.

The price of natural gas does not include value added tax.

The Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry and the Federal Ministry of Trade are tasked with implementing this decision, each within their jurisdiction.

As explained, the Federal Ministry of Trade received a request from the economic entity Energoinvest d.d. Sarajevo for approval of the change in the wholesale price of natural gas to distribution economic entities in the Federation of BiH.

This request states that the new wholesale price of natural gas for distribution companies (privileged tariff customers) should increase by 4.59 percent, i.e., from the current KM 827.42/1,000 Sm³ to KM 865.40/1,000 Sm³ excluding value added tax.

Furthermore, the explanation of the request emphasized that the price for end customers remained unchanged during the first quarter of 2026, despite significant fluctuations in European markets, and that the proposed correction for the second quarter represents a minimal increase that is still significantly lower compared to reference stock values and prices in Europe.

It was also stated that the gas supplier Gazprom Export LLC submitted a total price coefficient increased by 4.59 percent compared to the previous quarter, which represents the basis for determining the price for the upcoming quarter.
