Tihić's thoughts are with the people of Srebrenica, regrets not being able to come to Potočari today

The President of the Party of Democratic Action, Sulejman Tihić, is feeling well and expresses regret that he was not in a position to attend the funeral in Potočari today and mark the 19th anniversary of the genocide, the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP) has learned.

Tihić, being a former camp detainee himself, conveyed that his thoughts were with the people of Srebrenica today, with whom he had fought for the rights of returnees for years. He says it is important for him that the people of Srebrenica, especially the mothers of Srebrenica, as well as the public and all citizens, know this.

- He sincerely regrets not being in Potočari today, as in previous years. He is connected to the Bosniak returnees and especially the Potočari Memorial Center, to whose establishment and development he himself contributed. However, the president is getting better and we hope for his recovery – a close associate of Tihić told us.

As we have learned, Tihić was also delivered the candidate lists of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) for the upcoming elections today. It is expected that he will sign them tomorrow, so that they can be submitted to the Central Election Commission before the deadline on Monday, NAP reports.
