Tihić backed down from corrections under family pressure: Let them bear responsibility for the result!

The current leadership of the Presidency of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) obtained the signature of President Sulejman Tihić on the authorization for submitting candidate lists by pressuring his family members, a source close to Tihić confirmed to the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).

Namely, the SDA president was dissatisfied with the content of the candidate lists that were sent to him for signature last Friday, and he requested corrections over the weekend.

However, as we were told, his successors in the party then pressured members of the Tihić family, convincing them that it was not good for him to deal with party affairs in his health condition. Only after that did Tihić give up trying to correct the inconsistencies in the SDA lists, and only signed the power of attorney for submitting the candidate lists on Sunday afternoon.

- Maybe it's for the best, let those who drafted such lists then bear responsibility for the election result. They will not be able to hide behind President Tihić's name – one party leader who is in daily contact with Tihić told us.

The SDA president, as he conveyed, is relatively well and bravely fighting his health problems, NAP reports.
