Tihić dissatisfied with candidate lists, has not signed yet, demands corrections!

The President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Sulejman Tihić has not yet signed the party's candidate lists for the general elections because he is dissatisfied with their content, the BH news agency Patria (NAP) has learned. Our agency's sources state that the lists presented to the president were "foisted" upon him and he does not agree with them, with the expectation that due to his health condition, "he will not interfere with it".

The Deputy President of SDA, Bakir Izetbegović, and the current leadership, including Asim Sarajlić, head of the election staff, and secretary Amir Zukić, adopted the candidate lists during the week and submitted them to Tihić for signature on Friday.

However, as we learned from sources close to Tihić, he reviewed them and objected to the arrangement and position of some candidates, as well as the exclusion of others. Tihić is particularly dissatisfied that the parties have lost their multi-ethnicity, especially at the federal and state levels.

As an example, Tihić cited the position of Josip Jurišić, a respected doctor and former deputy mayor of Sarajevo, who was moved down to the federal level, and according to Tihić's opinion, should have been nominated for the State Parliament. 

Tihić's reaction, as we learned, caused panic at the SDA headquarters, where they have been acting for a long time as if the SDA has no president, and urgent consultations have been initiated. Allegedly, Izetbegović requested an urgent meeting with Tihić in an attempt to resolve the situation, given that the deadline for submitting candidate lists expires tomorrow afternoon. However, it is not known whether Tihić agreed to this.

At the same time, Izetbegović, with Sarajlić and Zukić, is also preparing a "plan B" if an agreement with Tihić is not reached, but the details of that plan are not known, but they would certainly include an attempt to submit the lists without the president's signature or some form of power of attorney. 

However, this would, in any case, be too great a scandal for the SDA, whose internal conflicts are already causing damage, NAP reports.
