TI BIH to receive reports: "Humanitarians" hiding quality food!

The international non-governmental anti-corruption organization Transparency International BiH has so far received five calls in which citizens reported irregularities during the distribution of humanitarian aid in the flooded areas, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

Assistant at the Centre for Legal Aid, Marko Vujić, told Patria that since Friday, when this organization established a free line for reporting irregularities during the distribution of humanitarian aid, they have received five calls from Banja Luka, Prijedor, and a place on the road between Zavidovići and Maglaj.

- Citizens who reported incorrectness during the distribution of humanitarian aid said that the teams distributing aid in their towns bypassed their houses, although they had no reason to do so – Vujić said.

- Also, citizens complained that those distributing aid in their towns set aside higher quality food, and only distributed the less quality one – he added for Patria.

Transparency will, according to Vujić, forward the complaints of dissatisfied citizens to the Ministries of Internal Affairs.

- We will try to follow what will happen next with these reports, i.e., we will monitor whether these cases will be processed – says Vujić, writes Patria.
