The Sun: Asmir Begović's path to Manchester City is open

(Patria) - British "The Sun" published an article discussing Asmir Begović, the goalkeeper of the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, his potential departure from Bournemouth and interested clubs. Begović is linked with a move to Manchester City.

The Bosnian goalkeeper also holds a British passport and is considered a homegrown player, which would open up at least one spot in City's foreign player quota.

Ederson Moraes is the undisputed first-choice goalkeeper for City, however, in case of his injury, 20-year-old Arijanet Murić would have to step in, which is why there is a possibility that the English champions might sign a more experienced goalkeeper.

Murić is highly anticipated for the English club's future, but he is still young.

It is also heard that Manchester City is not the only club eager to attract the 31-year-old Bosnian panther.

Begović arrived at Bournemouth from Chelsea last season for 10 million pounds.

The coach left him out of the last match but praised Begović for his professional reaction.
