Thaci will not come to Potočari, told from RS that he is unwelcome

First Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo and Minister of Foreign Affairs Hashim Thaci will not attend the commemoration in Potočari, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica because he was told that he is not a welcome person in the RS, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- Despite the official invitation and a regular visa issued by the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the last moment I was not allowed to travel to participate in the commemoration in Srebrenica, with the explanation that I am an unwelcome person in the Republic of Srpska - Thaci wrote last night on his Facebook profile.

He also wrote that Kosovo and its people are with their hearts and minds with the families who are finally burying their loved ones, and with others who remember their fathers, brothers and sons lost in the horror of Srebrenica.

- Today we mark the 20th anniversary of the genocide by Serbian forces in Srebrenica and the 16th anniversary of the genocide of the Serbian state in Kosovo. The people of Kosovo will always stand with those who promote freedom, equality, justice and reconciliation - Thaci wrote.

He wrote that his heart is in Srebrenica and that as soon as possible he will travel to Potočari to pay tribute to the victims of the genocide.
