Tešanj: Journalist fined 200 KM for photographing a catering facility

A journalist from a local portal in Tešanj was fined 200 KM for photographing improperly parked cars in front of a catering facility, which endanger traffic in that part of the city, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Miralem Merdić, a journalist on the portal Jelah.ba, wanted to highlight the problem of improperly parked cars in front of the catering facility „Arena“ in the settlement of Jelah, but the owner did not like it and called the police, who issued a misdemeanor warrant to Merdić for disturbing public order and peace.

In the misdemeanor warrant against the journalist, it states that Merdić is fined 200 KM for unauthorized photography. The entire case will end before a municipal judge, the journalist announced.

- I hope the misdemeanor warrant will be annulled in Court – said Merdić for the Patria agency.

- I am charged with endangering someone's safety by photographing the facility – he adds. He explains that he only wanted to point out the problem of improperly parked cars, which often cause traffic accidents, writes NAP.
