Terzić-Šeremet left BiH after threats, new candidate is psychologist Popović

Zora Terzić-Šeremet, the initial candidate of Željko Komšić's Democratic Front for the Croat member of the BiH Presidency in the October elections, has withdrawn from this position, and in her place, Croats will be able to vote for Anto Popović, a psychologist from Livno, in the General Elections, writes the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

At today's press conference in Sarajevo, where the party's candidates for the upcoming elections in our country were presented, the DF president stated that Terzić-Šeremet received serious threats, as did her children, after which she left Livno with her family, meaning "she is not currently in BiH".

Komšić said that he does not have detailed information about this event and expects Terzić-Šeremet to file a report with the competent police authorities soon, writes Patria.

Komšić said that many DF members receive threatening messages daily, especially in West Mostar, but he stated that this is only a sign that competing parties fear them. He announced that they will not give up the fight for a better Bosnia and Herzegovina. He recalled the case of academician Slavo Kukić, who was beaten in his office in Mostar a few weeks ago.

Željko Komšić's Democratic Front will participate in the General Elections in BiH with candidates for all levels of government, except for the President of Republika Srpska.

Interestingly, this party is running with two members for the BiH Presidency. The candidate for the Bosniak member is Emir Suljagić, and for the Croat member, it is retired psychologist Anto Popović from Livno.

Komšić stated that he decided on this move so that no one could object that he was imposing a Bosniak on Croats, or that Bosniaks could not tell him that he was imposing a Croat on them.

The party leadership expects strong voter support in the upcoming elections so that, as they stated, they can ensure a better life for the citizens, reports Patria.
