"Territorial Reorganization" of the Federation of BiH as the Greatest Gift to Herceg-Bosnia

Recently, the highest officials of the SDA have repeatedly come forward in public with a plan for the so-called territorial, or rather constitutional, reorganization of the Federation of BiH. The plan is being presented publicly and repeatedly, and it is of such a nature that it deserves the greatest attention from the general public. It is extremely negative, essentially destructive to the integration processes in BiH, although its promoters are trying to present it as extremely positive in order to deceive the public.

This is the same strategy that was used in relation to Mostar, where the same content, which was an excellent gift to Mr. Čović, was recently packaged in various cellophane wrappers on multiple occasions. It is the same strategy from the same place, unfortunately.

In relation to the plan for the so-called territorial reorganization of the FBiH, the need for rationalization, reduction of administrative costs, etc., is cited as a camouflage argument, which would allegedly be achieved by merging some cantons, and it is not hidden that the merging refers to cantons with an ethnic majority of the constituent peoples.

This is a hellish plan for the final realization of the war goals of Herceg-Bosnia; it is the greatest possible gift to Čović's strategy and goals (the servility of the current SDA towards his policy is simply astounding), while also adopting Čović's great skill of naming major political moves harmlessly, even benevolently.

The biggest problem is that the SDA has the political power to make this disastrous mistake, which will be irreparable. Let us hope that they will see the light and abandon this terrifying realization of Herceg-Bosnia's goals, which they are trying to present to us so cunningly as a positive action – as rationalization.

The intention is to merge those cantons where, on one side, Croats are the majority, and on the other side, cantons where Bosniaks are the majority.

It is quite obvious that this is political short-sightedness, or political deception, because allegedly "larger units" ("mega-cantons") are being created, but these units are essentially, at a higher level, within the domain of the state, in the function of further and dramatic fragmentation of the Federation (and it is only one fragment of the state), because this strategy finally splits the Federation INTO ETHNIC MAJORITIES, i.e., territorialization is carried out on the principle of creating ethnic territories. This is a death blow to both the Federation and BiH.

A bloody war was waged here, and terrible violence was committed to create ethnic territories ("ethnic cleansing"), and pro-Bosnian forces lost thousands of lives precisely to resist this type of ethno-territorial homogenization. Now, it is intended – even decisively, it seems – to realize this goal of the criminal Herceg-Bosnia in peacetime. And under the naive excuse of rationalization. As if we were children! This would be only the first, but decisive, step towards secession and the "Croatian side," which would, through this extremely dangerous "reorganization," manage to territorially homogenize itself by the constitution.

Why don't these "well-meaning" gentlemen start by merging ethnically mixed cantons?! In the FBiH, there are only two acceptable options in this regard: either abolish all cantons, or do not merge them at all.

Merging cantons on the principle of ethnic majority is absolutely unacceptable from the standpoint of the interests of the state of BiH. It is particularly astounding how the promoters of this plan do not see that such a plan is catastrophic precisely for Bosniaks, because Bosniaks can only survive WITHIN the framework of BiH, and this plan further confines them to territorial reserves (under the guise of "enlarging cantons"), with the prospect of soon becoming, truly, like Palestinians in Gaza (anyway, it is likely, according to some project, that there is a real invasion of Arabs in the Federation, along with everything else, to whom the best land is being sold en masse!).

This would simultaneously allow Herceg-Bosnia policy, after this immeasurably harmful reorganization for the future of Bosnia, to organize its secession referendum in the very next step (which is why Mr. Čović shows such great understanding for Dodik's referendum).

Although this "reorganization" concerns the fate of the state and the peoples, I have not noticed that the public is particularly agitated about it; I have not even noticed that the so-called opposition has paid adequate attention to such an important issue.

This plan for such a "reorganization" is fatally flawed. The only uncertainty remains whether it is a conscious deception of all pro-Bosnian forces, or the result of political dilettantism. True, we are left with the precious hope that it will be abandoned. As in the case of the precious Mostar.
