Temperatures above 35 degrees, three "hot" months expected

Summer has definitely arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and citizens across BiH are seeking refreshment in various ways. Many pools and swimming areas have opened, and the first swimmers are already looking for refreshment, writes the Patria News Agency. Weather similar to today's, with very high temperatures, will continue for the next three days.

- Sunny and hot for the next three days. In the afternoon or towards the end of the day, there will be conditions for local showers in Bosnia, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms. Morning temperatures from 13 to 20 degrees Celsius, up to 23 in the south, and daytime temperatures from 26 to 35 degrees Celsius - say the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute.

Otherwise, in June 2014, the expected average monthly temperature should be within or slightly below the long-term average. Expected precipitation in June should be at or slightly above the long-term average, which refers to the period (1961-1990).

- In the first half of the month, frequent showers accompanied by thunderstorms are expected. Precipitation will be more intense in the central and northern parts of the country - says the Institute's statistical estimate.

Otherwise, according to forecasts, July will be extremely warm with temperatures at or slightly above the long-term average, just as is forecast for August.
