Thematic session of the House of Representatives of PFBiH on February 25, regular session the day after, employer protests also scheduled

(Patria) - A thematic session of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH has been scheduled for February 25, dedicated to the economic situation, the effects of the decision on the minimum wage of 1,000 KM by the Government of the Federation of BiH, and fiscal reform.

The Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, Nermin Nikšić, representatives of employers, trade unions, and the academic community are also expected to address this session...

The Committee on Economic and Financial Policy will prepare conclusions for the official session of the House of Representatives, based on the submitted proposals and discussions.

Special attention will be paid to fiscal reform, and the Government of FBiH has announced that a set of fiscal laws will be adopted by Parliament this year. Therefore, the Decree on the payment of aid to workers is valid until July 31. If the laws are not adopted, the application of the Decree will be extended.

For the following day, February 26, the 18th regular session of the House of Representatives has been scheduled, starting at 10 AM.

A protest in front of the BiH Parliament building has been announced for that day on the Facebook group Glas malih biznisa (Voice of Small Businesses).

According to data from the Tax Administration of FBiH, there were more than 4,500 layoffs in January. The highest numbers were in KS, Tuzla Canton, and Zenica-Doboj Canton. In Sarajevo Canton alone, 2,900 people were registered with the KS Employment Service after losing their jobs.
