Telephone Session: Council of Ministers of BiH Again on Conflict of Interest Law, Konaković in Budapest

(Patria) - The Council of Ministers of BiH is scheduled to hold a telephone session today at 10 AM to consider the Law on Prevention of Conflict of Interest, as consensus could not be reached at the session on March 4.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, is outside BiH, visiting Budapest, where he will meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Péter Szijjártó.

A meeting of the delegations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary is also planned.

The agenda then includes the signing of the Action Plan on Knowledge Transfer on the European Union Accession Process between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, followed by a press conference.

As part of his working visit to Hungary, at the invitation of Szijjártó, Konaković will participate in the annual meeting of heads of diplomatic-consular missions of Hungary, where he will speak about the European path and the progress BiH has made ahead of the European Commission's report and the European Council's decision on opening accession negotiations with Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This is a very important gathering, held in the form of a panel discussion, which Hungary has offered as assistance from its diplomatic-consular network in lobbying, advocating, and promoting information about BiH's progress on the path to the EU.

Hungary, as an EU member, plays an important role in supporting Bosnia and Herzegovina's efforts towards European integration, offering assistance in the accession process.

From July 1st this year, Hungary will assume the presidency of the Council of the EU, and one of the announced goals of the Hungarian presidency is to accelerate the integration process of the Western Balkan countries, it was announced from the MFA of BiH.
