Only a dozen Tuzla residents on the streets recalled February 5

A small group of only a dozen people gathered in Tuzla today to recall last year's demonstrations, during which the Tuzla Canton government building was set on fire, and destructive protests spread to Sarajevo, Zenica, and Mostar, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

Organizers had announced that hundreds of citizens would take to the streets of Tuzla again on February 5, but that did not happen. Analysts warn that citizens are skeptical after last year's destructive demonstrations and no longer trust informal organizations. They are ready to express their dissatisfaction, but they do not want to participate in the destruction of their own country.

Protests by dissatisfied workers of Dita, Konjuh, Resod Gumig, Polichem, and Poliochem, as well as a large number of citizens, which began on February 5 last year in front of the Cantonal Court and Prosecutor's Office of TK, turned into destructive demonstrations, during which the TK government building was set on fire.

Demonstrations also spread to Sarajevo, where the buildings of the Presidency of BiH, the KS government, and the Centar Municipality were set on fire.

Buildings in Zenica and Mostar were burning. The ugly image of BiH went around the whole world. Due to the hooligans who caused riots on the streets of BiH, Pope Francis postponed his visit to Sarajevo, which was planned for the summer of that year, writes NAP.
