Redundant staff: 197 teachers to continue working in primary schools

Addressing redundant staff in primary schools in the Sarajevo Canton area was the topic of a press conference held today by the presidents of the independent trade unions of primary education in KS and FBIH, Saudin Sivro and Selvedin Šatorović, and the Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Sarajevo Canton, Elvir Kazazović, reports the Patria News Agency.

They presented to the public the activities being undertaken to accommodate employees whose engagement is no longer needed in schools, the existing staffing needs, as well as the details of the competition for hiring employees, which will be announced for the 2015/2016 school year.

As stated, this year in 67 primary schools, 197 employees were left partially or completely without work assignments. At the proposal of the competent commission within the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth, on July 14 this year, the relevant minister Elvir Kazazović signed 134 decisions for accommodating these employees, while another 63 employees will be accommodated internally, within schools and in accordance with the valid regulation.

As stated by Minister Kazazović, public competitions will be announced for 400 positions, for a fixed-term employment. They will be published between August 1 and 5 in daily newspapers and on the Ministry's website, according to the statement from the relevant ministry.
