Tegeltija, Novalić, Višković: Proposed opening of BiH borders for all foreigners with mandatory test

"We have agreed and will propose that BiH borders be open to all foreign citizens, provided they have a negative test not older than 48 hours. In this way, we have created equal conditions for everyone, except for the countries in the region which have certain other conditions for entering BiH," said Tegeltija, emphasizing that the Council of Ministers will make this decision as soon as possible.

Chairman Tegeltija said that they are moving forward together towards the citizens of BiH and that they are all jointly fighting against the problem. He points out that they discussed how to help the economy, and about "Elektroprenos".

"We have agreed that the Council of Ministers, together with the entity governments, will prepare a program that will contain a new institutional cycle and a proposal for economic relief in the period from September 2020 to 2021, and we will do the same to help the domestic economy," said Tegeltija.

"When it comes to talks with international financial institutions, we thanked all those who showed understanding during the pandemic. For now, the decision is to open negotiations with the IMF, and we expect the IMF Mission to be in BiH in October, and after that, it will take us two months to implement the agreement," added Tegeltija.

Fadil Novalić said that he is pleased that they have established a type of strategy, that they will maintain budget balance, that they will launch investment spending, and that they will pass laws that will improve the business environment.

"Everything is calculated so that we can maintain or even increase the economy. The measures have yielded results. It is a fact that we have maintained the employment level and that we are almost second in Europe in maintaining GDP. While the Federation was a leader in the fight against the pandemic, today in 2.5 months we have a drastic situation. This means that the measures have paid off.

Višković said that they have exceptional cooperation.

"Why would we, as entities, propose some projects when we have common ones, such as Corridor V5 from Mostar towards Vukosavlje. We want to unite this as a project and present ourselves to investors as one," said Višković.
