Tegeltija: There was no majority for Božović's appointment, who remains a candidate for minister

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Zoran Tegeltija, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, spoke at today's press conference about the withdrawal of an agenda item from the session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, by which Mlađen Božović was supposed to be appointed Minister for Human Rights in the Council of Ministers of BiH.

The removal of this agenda item was done at the initiative of the SDA Club, and only the proposer, Tegeltija, could withdraw the item.

"I withdrew Božović's appointment from the session at the request of DNS. Due to clear indications that there was no majority for the appointment, I withdrew the proposal. Božović's proposal still stands. It is important for us that the Council of Ministers functions normally, there are no blockades, nor do political parties have any demands. I hope that all consultations will be completed by the next session," said Tegeltija.

He added that the deputy minister manages the Ministry.

"There are no demands from political parties regarding Božović. It's about other things," stated Tegeltija, and when asked to clarify what these other things were, Tegeltija said it was also about the dismissal of Senad Bratić from the position of Deputy Speaker of the NSRS.

Regarding his expertise, Tegeltija said that Božović can successfully lead this ministry.

When asked if this was potentially the collapse of the newly formed Council of Ministers, he said he did not believe so.
