Tegeltija and Poš: Hope that the European Commission will value the progress made in BiH

(Patria) - Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Zoran Tegeltija spoke today in Sarajevo with the Ambassador of Hungary to BiH Kristijan Poš. The meeting discussed European integration, strengthening bilateral economic cooperation, and activities being undertaken to mitigate the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic in BiH.

Chairman Tegeltija emphasized the Council of Ministers' commitment to BiH's European path, respecting the Dayton Agreement and fully acknowledging the competencies of all levels of government in BiH, and pointed out that progress has been made in implementing priorities in the EU accession process, despite the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

On this occasion, Chairman Tegeltija expressed hope that the European Commission will value the progress made in BiH, and that BiH will receive candidate status for EU membership in the near future. Expressing gratitude for the assistance provided so far in the reform processes in BiH, Chairman Tegeltija assessed it as important for BiH to remain among Hungary's foreign policy priorities in the coming period.

The interlocutors stated that the political relations between the two countries are stable and without open issues, and assessed the intensification of economic relations between the two countries and the improvement of investments as very important.
