Tanović fires back at Konaković: Former friend, you should be ashamed

(Patria) - After the leader of NiP, Elmedin Konaković, recently accused the now former mayor of Novo Sarajevo, Hasan Tanović, of poor performance during his term on a television program, a response arrived today.

Is it possible that you still, following that long-learned political matrix, disavow the public even after the catastrophic results and the slap that the citizens of Sarajevo Canton dealt you because of everything you know you did in Novo Sarajevo and Centar, and you pick me to mention and attribute your, or rather your own failure, to my, as you say, "catastrophic work"?

I only learned about your performance on election night on Face TV yesterday afternoon and watched it.

Understandably, I couldn't say anything to you a few days ago, because I didn't know when we accidentally met at the opening of the first Day Center for children with developmental disabilities, for which, besides moral and administrative support, the Novo Sarajevo Municipality also allocated significant financial resources. That is why I feel the need to ask you a few questions and publicly point out a few facts, since you obviously thought, as aggressors and ignoramuses usually do, that my "silence and decency" is a reflection of my weakness, and not a need to distance myself from the underworld, mediocrities, and hypocritical, uncompromising, and inconsistent policies and individuals!

If you think that our mutual friends, colleagues, acquaintances, and fellow citizens will believe your obviously desperate and losing presentation on the mentioned television, perhaps it would be good for you to look again at what the voters told you in the elections two years ago and now on Sunday, or listen a little to the people around you, because even in your closest circle there are those who can "open your eyes".

You should be ashamed, because you called me a "catastrophic mayor" in a pitiful and pathetic way, while you know very well and personally attended the meeting where one of your party intimates, who in his free time unscrews bottle caps and answers to the name Elvedin Okerić alias "Mikrofondžija", conditioned my work on the operation of his/your microphones: Riad Idrizović, Nijaz Džaka, Emir Rustempašić, Elvedina Vugić, Tea Kulenović, councilors from the previous term, none of whom won a new term. There are, of course, some other self-proclaimed protectors of the people, rights, and justice in the municipalities of Stari Grad, Centar, and Novi Grad, but about them perhaps another time.

When I refused to "comply" and work according to your dictate, you started fulfilling your suggestively threatening "promises", about which I informed the public on several occasions, without naming you, I was ashamed of you!

One of your most agile NiP microphones/megaphones, who is a member of the aforementioned group, Arslan Dučić, was so zealous in those tasks that I had to sue him before the Municipal Court in Sarajevo. So far, three hearings have been scheduled, and two have been held. The defendant Dučić did not appear at any of them.

Arslan Dučić, on several occasions, with the intention of gaining political benefit for himself and his colleagues from the People and Justice party, damaged my reputation, work, and the job I do, by presenting numerous untruths and slanders, and often, besides me, brought into the same context both municipal employees and certain colleagues from the municipal benches.

What kind of people and justice is that, I ask you, which represents that individual and which, from the very beginning, bases its defense in that proceeding on the claim that he expressed an "opinion", not facts, and that his posts (in written and video format) on the profile called "Dučić Arslan" are not authentic, i.e., that he did not write them, that he did not record them, nor that he published them.

Instead of presenting relevant evidence and arguments for the untruths, insinuations, and slanders that he has been spreading for years and still spreads against me and the municipal administration before the competent Court, your "auditor and duty critic of my mandate" decided to "flee" from the process, probably aware that giving false testimony is a criminal offense and that it is not the same to brazenly lie on Facebook and to do so in court.

While I was working and fulfilling the promises that you and other leaders of the quartet and your party made to the citizens, you were trying on a daily basis to belittle my work and the work of the municipal administration that I managed.

You managed to make me quite disgusted with this job, but the real effect of your actions can be seen in the results you had two years ago, which you have now, and which you will have in two years, both in Novo Sarajevo and in other municipalities.

Instead of gathering courage, being bold, acting like a leader, as you like to be perceived, and calling the real culprits to account, i.e., those who create and lead your policy in Novo Sarajevo and the Canton, you look for the culprit in someone else and someone different.

It is difficult to explain to the people all the human, professional, and moral defeats that you managed to "dry up" in Novo Sarajevo, as your microphone fondler likes to say.

'Tana is a wonderful man, an honest man who showed no talent for this job and did not want to talk to us about that job,' those are your words. Do you hear yourself, man, what are you saying? Terrible!

Instead of asking you what kind of talent is needed not to lie, not to meddle, not to cheat, not to falsify, I will publicly ask you to ask your colleagues and NiP officials at all levels of government, what kind of relationship did they have with Mayor Tanović?

Has anyone, except the schemers in Novo Sarajevo, ever had any professional or personal problem with me!? No one, never, on the contrary, the results of joint work where your "microphones" had no access are very visible.

What are you talking about, Dino, about the alleged burden that Benjamin will have and has? Don't be pathetic, it doesn't suit you, it's not natural for you.

The entire campaign was waged on the wings of my projects and activities carried out in the previous term, and let it be, it's not my property, but let me ask you:

- Who completed all the documentation and secured the municipal share of funds for the Pofalići Elementary School, which you did not start because you decided that the school in Stup was your priority?

- Who prepared revisions, new projects, and documentation and secured part of the funds for kindergartens that are being renovated and planned in Novo Sarajevo?

- Who, for the first time in the history of BiH, secured a fixed 3% in the budget for sports and sports clubs and 2% for cultural and sports events?

- Who, in cooperation with the relevant ministry, created the formal and administrative prerequisites for the start of construction of the south stand at the Grbavica stadium?

- Who, after so many years of illegal use, obtained and completed the documentation that did not exist for the Južna longitudinala road and the underpass in Hrasno Brdo?

- Who prepared the documentation and was the bearer of activities for two new bridges on the Miljacka River?

- Who reconstructed and built the most sports and children's playgrounds in the Sarajevo Canton?

- Who prepared all the documentation and location for the Unified Memorial to the Martyrs and Fallen Fighters?

- Who, a few years ago, was the first to submit an initiative through the SOG to the Sarajevo Canton for the legalization of buildings so that citizens could legalize their buildings and obtain a legal water supply and sewage network?

- Who advocated for and initiated a pronatalist policy?

- Who completed and handed over the documentation for the Ars Aevi museum in record time?

- Who was available to you 24/7 during the construction of the tram line through Novo Sarajevo?

- Who brought the festivals back to Wilson's Promenade?

- Who procured vehicles and equipment for KJKP Rad, the Institute for Emergency Medical Assistance, and the Sarajevo Canton Police?

- Who, through support, co-financing, and subsidy programs, made the Novo Sarajevo Municipality a center of development and entrepreneurship and the second most developed municipality in the Federation of BiH, right behind the Centar Municipality?

- Who made it possible for the Novo Sarajevo Municipality to be the most transparent in BiH for two consecutive years?

- Who is the mayor with the fewest unfulfilled promises and the second in terms of fulfilled promises in the Sarajevo Canton?

Of course, there are many more questions, but since you closed your eyes to all the good and positive things during the previous four years, and you wholeheartedly supported the smearing and witch hunt against me led by the Pofalići lover and forger and petty ruddy trickster without education, I shouldn't have expected anything else from you.

Maybe you believe that you have intimidated me with daily verbal announcements of audits, processes, arrests, and numerous direct and anonymous reports, but know that this has not happened.

I wasn't collecting parts of my body around Sarajevo in '92 to be diverted from the path I am on by internet raiders, liars, and cheats.
