Hostage crisis in Paris: Unknown man holds two people

PARIS, (Patria) - The attacker holding two people hostage in Paris demanded to speak with the Iranian Embassy, so they could convey a message to the French Government, an unnamed source from the French police stated.

The police announced that police officers will try to negotiate with the attacker and that the incident is most likely not related to terrorism, BHRT reports.

A source told Reuters that the attacker, who appears to be armed with a fake weapon, initially abducted one person, who managed to escape, and then took two hostages, whom he doused with gasoline.

Special forces of the French police are at the scene.

According to initial information, two people were taken hostage. However, French Radio Bleu reports that the armed man is holding at least three people.
