The "Croatian Five" Deception Tactic: A Story of False Pluralism Among War Criminals and Labeling the Army of BiH as Terrorist

(Patria) - It seems that the pre-election race for the BiH Presidency member from the Croat people in this year's elections is once again taking on elements of the most interesting political showdown.

Besides the candidacy of Slaven Kovačević, nominated by DF, Darijana Filipović from HDZ, close to Dragan Čović, has also announced her candidacy in a peculiar way.

The so-called "Croatian Five" also sees an opportunity in all of this, although they have not yet announced their candidacy.

However, from the statements of the most prominent figures from the "Croatian Five", such as Slaven Raguž, it is clear, if not the name of the candidate, then the policy of the "Croatian Five", which in terms of values, in essential foundations, in no way differs from the policy of HDZ BiH and Dragan Čović.

In fact, this is about false competition for HDZ and Dragan Čović, within the framework of a war criminal's worldview.

The tactic of the "Croatian Five" and their most vocal representative in public, Slaven Raguž, is value relativization and equating things that cannot be equated, supposedly from positions outside the "criticized" relations.

Thus, Slaven Raguž, using the old and worn-out cliché that HDZ and DF feed each other, which has been discussed for years in the circles of Sarajevo's "trojka" who drank coffee (Naša stranka) with the camp commanders of the so-called Herceg Bosna, now draws the same conclusion, transferring it to the clash between Slaven Kovačević and Darijana Filipović.

The logic that Slaven Raguž is trying to impose on the pro-Bosnian public, habitually prone to all sorts of naivety, goes no further than that members of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, such as Slaven Kovačević and Željko Komšić, are identical on a value and political level to Dragan Čović and Darijana Filipović, and that the civic Bosnia and Herzegovina advocated by Komšić and Kovačević is identical to the ethnically divided Bosnia and Herzegovina advocated by Dragan Čović and Darijana Filipović.

Of course, they themselves do not believe in such logic that Slaven Raguž and the "Croatian Five" are trying to establish for the habitually naive pro-Bosnian public, because for them, the values of the war criminal enterprise are more sublime than the struggle of the Army of RBiH.

The Croatian Five view the Army of RBiH and its fighters like Komšić and Kovačević through the eyes of Slaven Raguž, who claims that the HVO in BiH fought against Hamas and Hezbollah.

Thus, the leader of HRS, drawing parallels between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Palestine, declared the Army of BiH as jihadist and terrorist.

"This is not about who is with Israel and who is with Palestine, this is about who stands with democracy and who stands with terrorists. I am glad that the "čaršija" has come out of the closet! And yes, the HVO fought against Hamas and Hezbollah." - Raguž wrote on social media.

This is the same Raguž and the same Five who allegedly want to present themselves as a reasonable option, beyond the conflict between DF and HDZ, between Komšić and Čović, between Slaven Kovačević and Darijana Filipović.

Of course, this is not just about impermissible political relativization on a value level, but about a treacherous war criminal and Ustaše deception, according to which everyone is the same, and according to which Slaven Kovačević is the one preventing these "wonderful people" from the Croatian Five, who call the Army of BiH terrorist, from reaching a position in the BiH Presidency.

If there is one more reason why Kovačević's candidacy should be taken very seriously, it is that people who call the Army of RBiH terrorist are emerging as an alternative to HDZ, and they see its members as an obstacle to the realization of their political ambitions.

Therefore, any whitewashing of the "Croatian Five" policy and wrapping it in politically correct cellophane, under the guise of false pluralism, is a mere deception, because there is no pluralism among those who led prisoners to forced labor and those who call members of the Army of BiH terrorists.
