Tadić: Constitutional Court of BiH made 99 percent of decisions with votes of domestic judges

The President of the Constitutional Court of BiH, Mato Tadić, publicly denied all those who claim that the Constitutional Court of BiH is political and that foreigners play a decisive role in decision-making.

"Everything depends on who likes which decision. Those are the comments. We have nine judges, of which six are domestic judges. Four from the Federation of BiH and two from Republika Srpska, and three international. We have a large - abnormal influx of requests. In 11 years, we have resolved 64,858 cases. 99.08 percent were resolved by domestic judges themselves. And for that decision, five votes are needed. And the composition is two, two, two... the popular "Trojka" (Trio). Therefore, none of those decisions could have been made without Bosniaks, Serbs, and Croats. Only 0.92 percent of cases were resolved at plenary sessions with international judges, and at those sessions, 61.8 percent were resolved unanimously and 37 were divided differently. If it is political, how did we resolve so many cases?"

When it comes to foreign judges, Tadić emphasized that they have no problems with international judges, and whether we need them is for politics to decide.

"The law states that after five years, the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH can make a decision on the status of foreign judges, but they have never done so."
