SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office Gordana Tadić addressed the parliamentarians at a thematic session on the state of the judiciary, thanking them for their discussion.
She said she was happy to have received criticism from all deputies because it proves she is doing the right thing.
“We are working based on the BiH Constitution and laws and we will not succumb to any pressure as long as I am at the head of the BiH Prosecutor's Office,” Tadić said, adding that in war crimes cases, there are always those who are dissatisfied.
She also spoke about the Memić case, emphasizing that it is a "live case" and that proceedings are underway in the BiH Prosecutor's Office for organized crime, and that an order to conduct an investigation has been issued, and that not everything that has been reported in the BiH media in the past period is true.
She told the deputies that they should not score political points on the Memić and Dragičević cases.
Tadić also had a message for the President of the BiH Court, Ranko Debevec.
“It is very comfortable to be the President of the BiH Court. No one mentioned the President of the BiH Court. I did not intend to address you, Mr. Mektić, you are one of the accused. You are using this podium for abuse and your defense. So, praise the President of the BiH Court because you will prove your innocence there,” Tadić said.
In her first address to the deputies today, Tadić said, "He who laughs last, laughs best," which the deputies interpreted as a kind of threat from the Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office.
