The Hague Tribunal raised the third and most serious indictment against Slobodan Milošević, former president of Serbia, on 23 November 2001, writes the news agency Patria (NAP).
The first two indictments related to crimes committed in Croatia and Kosovo, and the third to crimes in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The prosecution charged Milošević with crimes against humanity, violations of the laws or customs of war, and the Geneva Conventions.
The trial of Milošević began on 12 December 2002, and was never completed due to his death. The lifeless body of Milošević was found in his bed in the detention unit in Scheveningen on 11 March 2006.
