Coffins with victims of genocide arrived in Potočari

(Patria) - Coffins with the remains of seven victims of the Srebrenica genocide committed in 1995 arrived in Potočari in the afternoon.



On the way through Srebrenica, the convoy with the coffins stopped at the City Mosque in the city center, and then proceeded towards Potočari.



Relatives, representatives of the Memorial Center, the Islamic Community in BiH, and others gathered, as they do every year, welcomed the coffins and carried them into the former Battery Factory.



Let us remind you, the convoy started from Visoko this morning, stopped in Ilijaš and Vogošća, and then in front of the Presidency of BiH building in Sarajevo.



Tributes to the victims of the genocide were paid by the Reis-ul-ulema of the Islamic Community in BiH Husein ef. Kavazović, member of the Presidency of BiH Željko Komšić, members of both houses of the BiH Parliament, members of the FBiH Government, the Federal Parliament, the KS Government, the KS Assembly, High Representative Christian Schmidt, ambassadors and heads of missions, and numerous citizens.



In Potočari, on Friday, July 11, on the 30th anniversary of the genocide, among the endless white tombstones, their eternal rest will be found by:

• Senajid (Husein) Avdić, born in 1976;
• Hariz (Ramiz) Mujić, born in 1976;
• Fata (Huso) Bektić, born in 1928;
• Hasib (Adem) Omerović, born in 1961;
• Sejdalija (Alija) Alić, born in 1961;
• Rifet (Mustafa) Gabeljić, born in 1964;
• Amir (Ibrahim) Mujčić, born in 1964.
