World Islamic Humanitarian Organization assists citizens in BiH

The World Islamic Humanitarian Organization IGASA has started a program to assist vulnerable populations in flood-affected areas of BiH in cooperation with the Vakuf Directorate of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Federal Ministry of Displaced Persons and Refugees, the organization announced, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

Assistance to the vulnerable population consists of 3,400 family packages with food items and the same number of packages containing basic hygiene products.

Assistance has already been distributed to the affected population in the reception center in Begov Han. Eighty packages were distributed, and the distribution was attended by the Saudi Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Eid Mohamed Althakafi and the Mayor of Žepče Municipality Mato Zovko.

Assistance was also distributed to the vulnerable population in Maglaj with 100 packages and in Doboj with 320 packages. With the help of the Mufti of Banja Luka, 460 packages of humanitarian aid were distributed in this area as well.

The World Islamic Humanitarian Organization, in cooperation with the Vakuf Directorate of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Federal Ministry of Displaced Persons and Refugees, will continue its humanitarian activities in the coming period according to needs and strive to alleviate the situation for the vulnerable population in the new circumstances, the statement said, reports Patria.
