Four new witnesses testified at Goran Zubac's trial

The trial of the Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) Goran Zubac for negligence in office, in connection with the protests in Sarajevo on February 7, continued today at the Court of BiH.

Four witnesses were heard: Samir Mirvić-Dambo, Goran Koprivica, Šerif Tajić, and Relja Kovač. All are employees of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH (DKPTBiH).

Samir Mirvić, then assistant commander in charge of VIP delegation security, said they did not have enough equipment to be at the front lines with the demonstrators.

- We had pistols and batons. We stood behind the special unit of the Federal MUP, which had bulletproof vests. Helmets, visors, chemical agents, gas masks – Mirvić explained.

In his testimony, Relja Kovač, head of the Department for the Security of Very Important Persons and Delegations at DKPTBiH, said that he was in contact with his boss Sead Šarić, who was in the field, from nine o'clock that February 7. Despite this, only around 3 PM was the duty officer ordered to call all available police officers to come to the base due to the situation in Sarajevo.
