Contactless dispensers distributed to all schools to prevent the spread of COVID-19

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - At the proposal of the Parents' Council of primary schools in Stari Grad, municipal mayor mr. Ibrahim Hadžibajrić issued an urgent order for the procurement of contactless dispensers, which were supplied to all primary schools in Stari Grad before the start of the school year. This will enable hand disinfection at the entrance to schools and contribute to increasing the level of safety for all students.

As confirmed by Lejla Dizdarević, assistant to the mayor for civil protection, by the authority of the municipal mayor, the municipal mayor tasked this service with the urgent procurement and delivery of dispensers and disinfectants to schools.

“We have supplied schools with dispensers that are very practical. They can stand on a stand or be attached to the wall. It is enough to bring your hand within three centimeters, and one filling will be sufficient for a week. Also, schools have received supplies for refilling these devices,” explained Dizdarević.

The president of the Parents' Council of primary schools in Stari Grad, Diana Parla, did not hide her satisfaction with the quick reaction of the Municipality of Stari Grad.

“We are all very grateful to the Municipality and Mayor Hadžibajrić for this quick reaction, because it means a lot to parents that the local community, even though not legally obligated, is helping schools to such an extent,” said Parla.

She added that the Parents' Council actively participated in providing conditions for a safe start to the school year. The importance of education is undeniable, but children's health comes first.

“We had certain requests that were partially fulfilled, such as the possibility for parents to decide whether to send their child up to the fifth grade to school or to follow classes online. We will monitor the situation because preserving children's health is most important to us, then everything else,” said Parla.

The principals of primary schools “Hamdija Kreševljaković”, “Vrhbosna”, and “Mula Mustafa Bašeskija”, Emina Zahiragić – Nalić, Erzumana Fukelj, and Emina Mujan, said that all preparations are completed and that everything is ready for tomorrow.

“We have seven grades that will attend classes at school, and of those, two grades will be divided into two groups. Most parents want their children to go to school, so we have only about ten requests for online learning,” said Emina Zahiragić – Nalić, principal of Primary School “Hamdija Kreševljaković”.

The primary schools that received contactless dispensers are: “Edhem Mulabdić”, “Mula Mustafa Bašeskija”, “Saburina”, “Hamdija Kreševljaković”, “Vrhbosna”, “Šejh Muhamed ef. Hadžijamaković”, “Mladen Pozaić”, and the Institute “Mjedenica”.
