
SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Starting Friday, March 13, the body temperature of all patients coming to the "Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš" General Hospital, as well as all employees, will be measured with a non-contact thermometer before entering this healthcare facility, as a preventive measure due to coronavirus.
Patients whose elevated temperature is recorded will be immediately referred to the fever clinic, the General Hospital announced.
Hospital employees who develop an elevated body temperature will be sent home and placed under the supervision of the Health Center.
Otherwise, with the emergence of an unfavorable epidemiological situation caused by coronavirus, a hospital Crisis Staff has been formed at the General Hospital, consisting of 17 employees, tasked with monitoring the hygienic-epidemiological situation and adopting measures in accordance with the instructions of the Crisis Staff of the Ministry of Health of Sarajevo Canton.
We remind you that visits to patients have been banned earlier, hygiene and other measures have been intensified at the hospital, and the mandatory use of protective masks has been introduced. Also,
according to the Order of the Crisis Staff and in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus, only necessary specialist-consultation examinations will be performed at the General Hospital, as assessed by the specialist and the family medicine team.
Patients are asked not to come to the hospital without urgent need, nor without a referral from the Health Center or on urgent days of the Emergency Medical Service, in order to protect the health of our citizens.
