We wish all miners in BiH a happy Miners' Day

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Miners in BiH are celebrating December 21, Miners' Day, established in memory of the miners from the Tuzla region who rebelled in 1920 due to imposed difficult working conditions.

Although 101 years have passed since the famous Husino rebellion, respect for the miners' revolt at that time is still equally strong in the minds of miners today.

Miners will also remember this year for the protests in front of the FBiH Government building on November 23, where they spent one night under the open sky demanding a better price for coal, linking of service, and a promise that there would be no salary reductions. Miners from seven mines of the JP EP BiH Concern reached an agreement with the company's management and signed a memorandum.

Miners will also remember the year for mining accidents in which miners lost their lives. They are aware that after every "good luck" they might not come out of the pit, but they earn their wages honestly.
