(Patria) - Bosnia and Herzegovina has no shortage of beautiful places for a nature outing, and one of the most beautiful can be found on the list of the renowned magazine Time Out, writes Punkufer.



Alongside Croatia's Plitvice Lakes, Indonesia's Komodo National Park, Peru's Choquequirao - and other spectacular destinations around the world, Janjske Otoke proudly stands.

Located about ten kilometres south of Šipovo (around 185 kilometres west of Sarajevo), Janjske Otoke is a network of islets connected by charming wooden bridges, crystal-clear water, lush greenery, idyllic wooden cottages, and several peaceful waterfalls," writes Time Out.



This magazine adds that the nearby Janj primeval forest (inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list) is the perfect adornment to an area characterised by spectacular biodiversity.

This region is especially popular in summer, when high temperatures drive people from the concrete into the greenery, aided by the Janj River, which remains cold throughout the year.

While walking through the greenery, you will also see a sign that says: "Welcome. Leave your worries behind… Slow down… Enjoy!".



In addition to the refreshment provided by the river, there is also the shade of trees that protects from the heat. Between the waterfalls, you will also find a dining table, and it is said that trout is the best choice.
