Swiss Franc Loan Conversion Bill Postponed by BiH House of Peoples

The House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH has postponed the decision on the principles of the Bill on the conversion of loans in Swiss francs into convertible marks to its next session. The bill was proposed by delegate Mario Karamatić, reports the Patria News Agency.

The proposal is being considered in the House of Peoples of the PA BiH under an expedited legislative procedure.

Furthermore, a conclusion was adopted whereby the House of Peoples of the PA BiH calls on the governments of the entities and Brčko District to urgently agree on the principles for resolving the issue of converting loans in Swiss francs, taking into account the fact that it is necessary for the banking agencies of the entities and Brčko District to actively engage in resolving this issue in order to reach a solution that, on the one hand, will guarantee legal certainty and, on the other hand, ensure the application of the law throughout the territory of BiH.
