(Patria) - At the 8th European Geography Olympiad held in Belgrade, all students from Bosnia and Herzegovina won medals.
In the junior category, student Sofija Savić won a bronze medal, while Imran Tabaković also won a bronze medal in the senior category.
In the senior competition, our team consisting of Imran Tabaković, Amer Hadžić, Nejra Hajrić, and Faris Hodžić won third place in the poster presentation competition.
The Government of Sarajevo Canton and the Ministry of Education and Science fully financially supported the travel of students from Sarajevo Canton and the team leader/coordinator for the geography competition, professor Sead Srna, to the Olympiad.
"We congratulate the students, team leaders, teachers who worked with the students, and parents. These are mostly elementary school students and first-year high school students, and we are confident that the Bosnia and Herzegovina team will continue to achieve successes in the coming years," said the Minister of Education and Science of Sarajevo Canton, Naida Hota-Muminović.
Let us recall, last year our excellent students won a "silver medal" in geography in Paris - the first in BiH's history at world olympiads.
