Sweden is accepting a record number of immigrants: Here are the most sought-after jobs

The Swedish Migration Agency has published an official list of professions in demand in that developed Scandinavian country in order to attract quality and educated personnel to the country in the coming period, reports the Patria News Agency.

The list of professions for which there is high demand in Sweden, published on the Migration Agency's website, includes, among others, professions such as midwives, electrical engineers and technicians, cooks, sheet metal workers, nurses, painters, bakers, pastry chefs, plumbers, and dentists.

Among the sought-after professions are also pharmacists, surveyors, civil engineers and technicians, driving instructors, sales representatives, doctors, truck mechanics, primary school teachers, special needs educators, psychologists, railway and road construction workers, miners, glassmakers...

Professions such as after-school activity educators, career and study counselors, and dental hygienists are also in demand in Sweden.

If an employer in Sweden invites a candidate for a job interview for one of the in-demand professions, the work permit application can be submitted from Sweden instead of the candidate having to return to their home country to apply.

According to data from the consulting firm Ernst&Young, the average gross salary in Sweden is 32,769 euros annually, or 2,730 euros per month.
