An as yet undetermined number of people were killed in a restaurant in Gothenburg in southern Sweden, where two armed men opened fire with automatic weapons for unknown reasons on Wednesday evening.
Most media outlets report that at least two people died in the shooting.
The police report states that several people succumbed to their injuries at the scene, while the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet writes about at least two fatalities in the attack.
One witness told state television that two men entered the restaurant and opened fire with automatic weapons.
Surviving witnesses say the attackers were wearing skull masks.
-One stood at the door and prevented anyone from entering or leaving, while the other entered the restaurant and started shooting at people. They even approached and shot directly in the head, says one of the employees who is in great shock.
It is suspected that armed gangs that are rampant around Gothenburg, Sweden's second-largest city, are responsible for the attack.
The restaurant is owned by immigrants, and the guests were also immigrants.
