SDA Celebrates 35th Anniversary with Ceremonial Academy in Bihać

(Patria) - In front of a large number of members and sympathizers, as well as founders of the Party of Democratic Action, a ceremonial academy was held in Bihać last night on the occasion of its 35th anniversary.

The Party of Democratic Action was founded in one of the most difficult periods for our homeland, when the political struggle for a free, independent, and democratic Bosnia and Herzegovina actually began.

Attendees had the opportunity to see how it all looked back then in the screening of the documentary film "35 Years Since the Founding of SDA Bihać". The film tells the story of the Party's inception and its existence up to the present day.

The film used authentic footage from the founding of SDA Bihać local branches in 1990, which evoked strong emotions and memories of those distant times among those present, when the fight for the state and a better life for all its citizens began.

The gathering was addressed by the president of the City Organization of the Party of Democratic Action Bihać and a member of the SDA BiH Presidency, Šemsudin Dedić, who recalled the Party's history, the political context of its formation, and the challenges it has faced over the past three and a half decades.

GO SDA Bihać won the largest number of votes in the recent local elections for the City Council in Bihać, and it has its representatives in legislative bodies at all levels of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

According to him, Bosnia and Herzegovina deserves a more responsible, serious, and state-building policy, which is impossible without SDA - the strongest political option.

SDA is the force of stability and development that Bosnia and Herzegovina desperately needs, was the message from President Dedić.

This was followed by an address by the president of the Cantonal Organization of the Party of Democratic Action of Una-Sana Canton, Jasmin Musić.

Speaking about the position of SDA in the Canton, which won the largest number of votes in the last local elections and is part of the government in USK, he stated that he expects SDA to lead processes at higher levels of government in the country starting next year. SDA USK will also contribute to this, said President Musić.

Also, at the very end, a letter from the president of SDA BiH, Bakir Izetbegović, was read, congratulating all members and sympathizers on the Party's anniversary. He expressed regret that he could not attend the celebration, but announced his visit to Bihać during August. His words of support further encourage our work and common goals.

Bihać SDA marked this significant jubilee with a series of activities, and tonight's ceremony is the culmination of the organized events.
