Solemn Commemoration of BiH Independence Day

SARAJevo, (Patria) - At the Liberation Square-Alija Izetbegović, with diverse events and activities, March 1st, Independence Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina, will be solemnly celebrated, organized by the Government of Sarajevo Canton and the Bosnian Cultural Center Sarajevo. From 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, in a festive decor and holiday atmosphere, preschool and school choirs, young dancers and singers, folklore ensembles, along with recitals and video presentations, will entertain all those who come to enhance this March 1st festive atmosphere. In addition to stage performances, other interesting and entertaining content will be organized at the Square. At the same location, in the evening hours, concerts by the band GONZO will be held from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and by the group REGINA from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM.

At 7:00 PM, the joint Solemn Academy is planned to be held in the City Hall hall on the first floor, organized this year by the Canton of Sarajevo, the City of Sarajevo, all municipalities within the Canton of Sarajevo, and the Forum of Parliamentarians of BiH 1990.

The Academy will be attended by members of the Presidency of BiH, representatives of both houses of the BiH Parliament and the Council of Ministers of BiH, representatives of both houses of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, the President and Vice Presidents of the Federation of BiH, as well as members of the Government of FBiH, the Assembly and Government of KS, representatives of the City Council and city administration of Sarajevo, municipal councils and municipalities, as well as veterans' and other non-governmental organizations.
