Ceremony in Bihać City Square: MUP of USK Enriched with 168 Young Police Officers

(Patria) - The 52nd generation of cadets of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) of the Una-Sana Canton (USK) was ceremonially promoted today in Bihać City Square.

A total of 168 of them took the oath and pledged to protect citizens, maintain order, and be at their service when most needed.

As they raised their right hands and recited the words of the oath today, many of the new police officers of the MUP of USK were not thinking about their salary, job, or uniform.

They were thinking about responsibility. About a child who must get home safely. About family, citizens who must know that someone is watching over their safety.

Serving their city, their country, and their people is also the decision of Amel Zajkić, recipient of the gold badge at the Police Academy.

As he stated on this occasion, love for his city was stronger than anything else.

For years, police stations across the USK have faced a serious shortage of personnel.

A large number of police officers are retiring or have already retired, while the need for new, educated, and prepared personnel has become increasingly apparent.

Precisely for this reason, the continuous employment of young police officers represents one of the most important processes in strengthening the security system of the USK today.

The Minister of Internal Affairs of USK, Adnan Habibija, says that this is a celebratory day and a significant event, considering the messages such an event sends to citizens and the public.

The Deputy Director of the Police Administration of USK, Suad Prošić, emphasized the importance of rejuvenating and building new generations of police officers on this occasion.

Representatives of the executive and legislative authorities of USK stated today that investment in the security sector remains one of the priorities, especially when it comes to employing new police officers.

The Prime Minister of USK, Mustafa Ružnić, says that the young police officers have justified the expectations of their generation.

The Speaker of the Assembly of USK, Nisvet Jusić, reminds that funds have been allocated in the budget with the aim of strengthening the security system for the citizens of USK.

The oath is a promise made to the public – a pledge that the law will be above personal interest, and professionalism above all circumstances, it was stated at today's ceremonial promotion.

Family members, friends, and citizens of USK came today to encourage the cadets in their profession, which will often put them before tests and choices in life that will not be easy or simple.
