Ceremonial program beneath the Old Bridge

A ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of the inscription of the Old Bridge and the old town core on the UNESCO World Heritage List will be held on July 3, starting at 10 PM on the plateau beneath the Old Bridge, the organizers announced, as reported by the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Before the concert, a speech by Mayor Ljubo Bešlić will be given, as well as the presentation of the Center for Peace award to Irina Bokova (presented by Ljubo Bešlić and Safet Oručević).

The Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mladen Ivanić, will also address those present.

Prose and poetry by Ivo Andrić, Aleksa Šantić, Mak Dizdar, and Pablo Neruda will be recited by: poet Alma Fazil Obad, actors Robert Pehar and Nedžad Maksumić.

A concert by the Mostar Symphony Orchestra will be held, with soloist Ana Rucner on cello.
