Bosnia and Herzegovina's Statehood Day was marked at the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina building. However, not all of its members attended the reception.
Dragan Čović's cabinet stated that he had previously arranged some important meetings. Čović himself had earlier sent congratulations to all citizens of BiH on the occasion of Statehood Day.
The Serb member of the Presidency, Mladen Ivanić, announced several days ago that BiH's Statehood Day does not interest him. He did not send any congratulations either.
Only the Bosniak member of the BiH Presidency, Bakir Izetbegović, welcomed a large number of domestic and foreign guests in Sarajevo tonight. He said that there will always be problems in BiH, but that they should be resolved. He also added that he is optimistic about Bosnia and Herzegovina because he sees the country returning to the path towards the EU and NATO, after a standstill. He conveyed that the citizens of BiH should believe in their country, writes NAP.
