Ceremonial session of the DF Presidency on the party's sixth anniversary

(Patria) - On the occasion of the sixth anniversary of its existence, a ceremonial expanded session of the Presidency of the Democratic Front was held today in Lukavac.

The DF announced that the founding assembly of the party was held on April 7, 2013, in Sarajevo, and that the Democratic Front gained the support of a large number of citizens in its first elections, becoming a respectable civic political factor in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which, as the party states, it remains to this day.

Yesterday, municipal, city, cantonal, and regional organizations of the Democratic Front also marked this anniversary with gatherings of members and sympathizers.

On this occasion, the attendees were addressed by the Vice-President of the Democratic Front, Dženan Đonlagić, the President of the Cantonal Board of the Democratic Front of Tuzla Canton, Zlatko Begić, and the Secretary General of the Democratic Front, Zlatko Miletić.

Zlatan Begić, on behalf of the hosts, welcomed all present members of the Presidency, as well as cantonal and municipal presidents and commissioners of the Democratic Front, and wished them a warm welcome to Tuzla Canton and Lukavac.

Dženan Đonlagić, addressing the assembly, spoke about the current political situation and the activities of the Democratic Front in the coming period, and referred to the signed Agreement on the Formation of Parliamentary Majorities, saying:

“The agreement we signed a few days ago with the Party of Democratic Action are the conclusions of the Presidency of the Democratic Front that have been transformed into the text of the Agreement, and this is what we will advocate for in the coming period and what we consider necessary for Bosnia and Herzegovina, and we can only implement it as part of the government.”

Zlatko Miletić congratulated the attendees and members of the Democratic Front on the party's sixth anniversary and noted that they "can be proud of everything the Democratic Front has done for the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and what the Democratic Front has become during these six years."

The Presidency took the opportunity to congratulate all members and sympathizers of the Democratic Front on the party's anniversary and thank them for their commitment and loyalty to the idea of a civic Bosnia and Herzegovina, which the Democratic Front advocates for, as well as congratulating all Roma in Bosnia and Herzegovina on World Roma Day.

"Instead of holding an anniversary celebration, the Democratic Front decided to make four donations of 500 KM each to help three individuals and one institution who need this money more. After the Presidency session, a press conference was held where media representatives had the opportunity to learn more about the party's activities so far, as well as to ask questions about all current events on the political scene of Bosnia and Herzegovina. A delegation of the Democratic Front paid tribute to the fallen fighters and martyrs of the Municipality of Lukavac from the period 1992-1995 by laying a wreath at the Central Memorial in Lukavac," the DF announced.
