Ceremonial Academy of the Association of Generals of Bosnia and Herzegovina: We Have No Other Homeland, and We Will Defend It in Every Possible Way in the Future

(Patria) - Yesterday in Sarajevo, the Ceremonial Academy of the Association of Generals of Bosnia and Herzegovina was held on the occasion of the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Day of the Association of Generals of BiH.

On this occasion, in the "Holiday" congress hall, besides the members of the Association and the families of deceased generals, a large number of comrades, friends, and representatives of civilian authorities from all levels, as well as representatives of the Armed Forces of BiH, gathered.

The Ceremonial Academy was held under the patronage of the Mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karić.

Although the session was of a festive nature, the addresses inevitably also touched upon the socio-political and security situation in our country.

A unanimous view prevailed that we have no other homeland and that we will defend it in every possible way in the future as well.

"We gave full support to the present Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Željko Komšić, and the member of the Presidency, Denis Bećirović, who unfortunately was unable to attend, in their work and defense of the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We emphasized that our representatives in state institutions, when making all important decisions, must never forget the best sons and daughters of this country who gave their lives and body parts in defense against aggression and fascism, both in the period from 1941 to 1945 and from 1992 to 1995," it was announced from the Association of Generals.

In addition to the appropriate cultural and artistic program, awards of the Association of Generals of BiH were also presented at the Ceremonial Academy.

Awards were given to Generals Halil Brzina and Sulejman Vranja, posthumously to Generals Mustafa Hajrulahović - Talijan and Mehmed Alagić, as well as to the great friend and associate of the association, Almir Šaćiragić from the Sarajevo graphic design company "Triptih".

The Ceremonial Academy ended with a social gathering, with the message that we will see each other next year in a stronger and more stable Bosnia and Herzegovina!
