More Passengers: Double Composition of BH Train Introduced on Sarajevo - Čapljina Route

Less than three weeks after the BH Train with Talgo sets was put into service on the Sarajevo – Čapljina line, a double composition of wagons departed south this morning.

- The regular composition of 9 wagons was completely sold out yesterday, so we were forced to increase capacity with another set. The reason for this is the improved quality of service, attractive prices, and increased interest during the tourist season. We have connected Sarajevo with the Adriatic Sea, and by introducing additional passenger lines Sarajevo - Zenica, which are coordinated with the existing ones towards the south, we will enable passengers from this city to travel comfortably, with quality, and cheaply towards Mostar and further to the sea. We expect even greater interest from citizens as well as foreign tourists, especially since we will soon open traffic towards Banja Luka and other cities in the north of the country, but also because we have prepared a whole range of benefits for BH Train passengers – stated Enis Džafić, General Director of Railways of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the last 15 days, 5,260 passengers have been transported on this route, achieving a daily average of 350 passengers.

In accordance with its valid tariff policy, ŽFBiH grants commercial discounts on regular ticket prices for certain categories of passengers with appropriate documentation, as follows:

- for return journeys, a 20% discount;
- for journeys of students, journalists, pensioners, and persons over 60 years of age, a 30% discount;
- for journeys of children aged 4 to 12, a 50% discount. Children under 4 years of age travel free of charge.

ŽFBiH also grants a discount for collective travel, i.e., for groups of 6 to 30 passengers, a 30% discount, and for groups of over 30 adult passengers, a 50% discount.

The passenger train Zenica - Sarajevo departs at 04:54 AM, arriving in Sarajevo at 06:39 AM. Passengers from this train will be able to connect to the train operating on the Sarajevo – Čapljina route, departing from Sarajevo at 07:01 AM and arriving in Čapljina at 09:35 AM.

With the passenger train on the Čapljina – Sarajevo route, departing from Čapljina at 19:25 PM and arriving in Sarajevo at 21:59 PM, passengers will also be able to connect to the Sarajevo – Zenica train, departing from Sarajevo at 22:24 PM and arriving in Zenica at 00:09 AM from 05.07.2017.

We remind you that BH Voz on the Sarajevo – Čapljina route connects to the bus line with buses from Autoherc d.o.o. Grude for the Neum and Makarska directions. The departure time from Čapljina is at 10:15 AM, and the arrival time in Neum is at 11:20 AM, while the departure time from Neum is at 18:00 PM, and the arrival time in Čapljina is at 19:05 PM.
