Growing demand for Sprind bakery products

Sarajevo food industry Sprind d.d. Sarajevo produced almost 410 tons more food in the first nine months of this year compared to the same period in 2014. Jufke, as Sprind's most recognizable brand, are recording the largest sales growth. In September 2015 alone, sales were 15% higher compared to September last year, reports the Patria News Agency.

- We achieved this result thanks to an extensive sales network and the quality of both bakery and other products. This year, Sprind products are distributed to more than 90 new points of sale in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Retailers are increasingly requesting our jufke, frozen puff pastry, fresh bread and pastries, mlinci, kadaif, and cakes, because end consumers demand them - explained Memnun Trako, director of Sprind.

According to Trako, Sprind products are closer to consumers this year and more visible both at the point of sale and in the media.

- This year we made two short video spots for jufke, advertised in customer catalogs, and organized promotions throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. We introduced the most modern software for sales and management. And we will not stop there. We are moving forward. We are currently working on developing brands, individually for each product category. In this context, there is a possibility that next year we will employ young and professional staff in brand manager positions, all with the aim of expanding the assortment, but also placing products on markets outside the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina - said Trako.

Sprind produces more than 6,000 tons of food annually, making it one of the largest individual food producers in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since last year, Sprind has been operating within the AS GROUP.
