All set for International Jumps from the Jajce Waterfall on August 1

Nearly 30 jumpers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro have registered so far for the jumps from the Jajce waterfall on August 1, and fans of this sport from Kosovo have also announced their arrival.

The director of the Agency for Cultural-Historical and Natural Heritage and Development of Tourism Potentials of Jajce, Huso Hadžić, told the news agency Patria that this year they expect twice as many jumpers as last year, when 18 athletes competed.

About 21 meters high, formed at the confluence of the Pliva and Vrbas rivers, the Jajce waterfall is, according to many assessments, among the ten most beautiful waterfalls in the world. It is among the rare waterfalls located in the very center of the city.

Hadžić reminded that the jumps from the Jajce waterfall are unique in the world, and last year they were watched by more than 5,000 visitors, with the event covered by the world's largest media.

The president of the jury for this year's jumps from the Jajce waterfall is the most popular Mostar jumper, Emir Balić.

Tourism experts have for several years been including Jajce among the most beautiful cities in Europe, which, in addition to the waterfall in the city center, offers tourists the beauty of the Pliva Lakes, religious tourism, and numerous remains from medieval Bosnia, reports NAP.
