Less and less money is arriving: Only 16,529 KM paid yesterday!

If yesterday's payments to the FBiH Government's donation account are anything to go by, the collection of aid for flood-affected areas is waning, reports the BH News Agency Patria (NAP). Yesterday, according to the bank statement from the donation account, only 17 donations totaling 16,529 KM were paid.

This is the smallest amount since the account was opened on May 19 this year. A total of 366,393 KM had been collected by the end of yesterday. As a reminder, according to initial estimates, more than a million people are directly threatened by the biggest natural disaster that has hit BiH.

Tens of thousands of people were left homeless, and entire cities and road infrastructure were destroyed. However, it seems that as time goes by, the initial enthusiasm for reconstruction and aid to those affected is declining.

The largest donation again came from abroad, the Municipality of Pljevlja paid 4,870 KM, and the trade union organization of the mine from the same city paid just under 3,000 KM.

Lawyer Hakija Kurtović from Sarajevo paid as much as 3,000 KM and indicated it was for aid to the municipalities of Vogošća, Orašje, and Maglaj. The Municipality of Berane donated 1,250 euros, and the company Askom from Sarajevo donated 1,000 KM. Several other smaller donations from abroad were recorded.
