Everything is possible if we are smart, plan, and believe in Allah!

A believer must be smart, think strategically, sometimes accept compromises, but also be convinced that with Allah's help, everything is possible, says Dr. Tarik Ramadan in the 28th installment of Ramadan Chronicles, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).

Dr. Ramadan recalled an event from the life of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in Medina. Namely, the Prophet had a dream about going to Mecca and circumambulating the Kaaba, where pagans, the reason he left his hometown, still lived. He gathered his closest friends and told them about it. All this happened after difficult battles fought by Muslims against Arab tribes who refused to accept Islam and Muhammad (pbuh) as the Prophet.

Believers had already survived exhausting battles at Badr, where they won, and at Uhud, where they were defeated. At such a moment, the Prophet told them about going to Mecca.

- The Prophet had a clear vision and a dream. He told them, 'Prepare yourselves, we are going to Mecca' - says Dr. Ramadan.

However, the Quraysh, the tribe that ruled Mecca and refused to accept Islam, opposed them. They prevented the Muslims and Muhammad (pbuh) from coming to Mecca. But, this peaceful march of Muslims towards Mecca resulted in the signing of a peace treaty known as the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah. It is precisely from this fact that Dr. Ramadan draws numerous lessons.

- The believers did not go to Mecca that year. According to the treaty, they had to do so the following year. The Prophet accepted numerous compromises to conclude that treaty. For example, the Quraysh did not want the treaty to state that it was concluded by Muhammad the Prophet, they did not want it to say 'In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful'. They demanded that Muslims must return to the Quraysh anyone who leaves Mecca for Medina, while they do not have to return to Muslims anyone who comes from Medina to Mecca. And, Muhammad (pbuh) accepted these formal compromises, believing that the message he received from Allah was true and that he would prevail - says Dr. Ramadan.

When that treaty was concluded, many of his closest friends were surprised and felt they had lost too much.

- The companions looked at it from a human perspective and at that moment, but the Prophet looked strategically and believed in the promise of Allah (SWT). Then, an ayah was revealed to him from Allah that confirmed his victory. It is the ayah from Surah Al-Fath (Victory): 'Allah has indeed fulfilled the vision of His Messenger in truth. You will surely enter Al-Masjid Al-Haram, if Allah wills, in security, with your heads shaved and your hair cut short. You will have no fear.' And so it was in the end - says Dr. Ramadan, reminding that Muhammad (pbuh) soon entered Mecca victoriously.

According to him, from this event, we should understand that Muslims must be smart, think strategically, but also believe that with reliance on Allah (SWT), everything is possible.
