Growing support for the proposed new Resolution on BiH

The U.S. Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, better known as the U.S. Helsinki Commission, has supported the proposed new Resolution on Bosnia and Herzegovina submitted to the U.S. Congress by Congressman Chris Smith of New Jersey.

The significance of the fact that the U.S. Helsinki Commission has supported the proposed Resolution, which returns our country to the agenda of the U.S. administration, lies in the fact that the support of this commission means the support of both Democrats and Republicans.

We recall that at the initiative of Dr. Mustafa Cerić, Congressman Smith submitted to the U.S. Congress a proposed Resolution on Bosnia and Herzegovina, which expresses unreserved support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country, calls for urgent reforms, and also calls for clearer positions from Europe and NATO regarding Bosnia and Herzegovina's approach to Euro-Atlantic integration.

The Resolution also condemns hate speech and divisive language, as well as the denial of genocide, and emphasizes the need to strengthen the civil sector and citizen participation in the political life of the country, according to a statement from the Public Relations Office of Dr. Mustafa Cerić, candidate for the Bosniak member of the BiH Presidency.
